These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and LayerDen (“LayerDen”, “we”, “us”), which operates layerden.club. By accessing or using the site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account or purchase a membership, and you must be able to form a binding contract. By using LayerDen you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
LayerDen is an independent information and guidance service. We publish honestly-rated suggestions for affordable fragrance alternatives and layering recipes for educational and entertainment purposes. We do not sell, manufacture, bottle, or ship any fragrance. Any products you buy are sold by third parties under their own terms. Scent is subjective and depends on skin chemistry, application, batch, and storage — we make no guarantee that any product or combination will smell a particular way, perform a particular way, or produce any particular result for you.
Fragrance products can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions and are flammable. LayerDen provides general scent guidance only and does not provide medical, dermatological, or safety advice. You are responsible for using any product safely and according to that product’s own label and instructions. In particular:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LayerDen is not responsible for any reaction, injury, damage to clothing or property, or other harm arising from products you choose to buy or how you choose to use, combine, or layer them.
All designer fragrance names and trademarks referenced on LayerDen are the property of their respective owners and are used only for truthful, descriptive comparison (nominative fair use). LayerDen is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any fragrance house. The alternatives we reference are independent products from third-party brands; our similarity ratings and percentages are subjective opinions, not measurements, and we do not represent that any alternative is, replicates, or is identical to an original designer fragrance.
Some outbound product links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy through them at no extra cost to you. We rate alternatives on their merits, including when a cheaper or better option exists. We are not responsible for third-party sellers, their products, pricing, availability, or fulfilment; purchases are solely between you and the seller.
The LayerDen name, site, ratings, recipes, and original content are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the content for your own non-commercial use. You agree not to scrape, copy, resell, republish, or redistribute the content (especially the paid Layering Library), share your account, reverse-engineer the service, or use it unlawfully or to harm the service or others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information (including notes, prices, and similarity ratings) is complete or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LayerDen and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or for any personal injury or property damage, arising from or related to your use of the service or any product you buy. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to LayerDen in the twelve (12) months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LayerDen and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your purchase or use of any product, or your breach of these Terms.
We may modify the service or these Terms at any time; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and continued use after changes means you accept them. We may suspend or end the service, or your access, at our discretion.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which LayerDen’s operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after it arises. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.
